What is the warranty for the cFog Device?

The cFog devices, including the spares, come with a one year limited warranty.

How do I know if I am still covered under warranty?

Please check your dashboard for the warranty. The dashboard will include the following information:

  • The date from the when warranty has commenced (including extended warranty details, if applicable.)
  • Number of days left before your warranty expires

Can I extend my warranty?

Yes, you can extend the warranty by paying a small fee within a year of the installation. However, you can avail a discount on the extended warranty, if you subscribe to it at the time of device purchase.

Under what circumstances is my warranty void?

The warranty is void when:

  • When the tamper-proof seal is broken.
  • When you submerge the box in water.
  • When you relocate the box without informing the cFog team.

When my warranty is void, can I still avail the paid service?

Yes. Log a service request and the cFog executive will evaluate the request and gives you the service quotation.

What should I do when I want to shift the device to a new pond/location?

Please call the cFog support team and log a service request. The support will assign a technician/implementer who is trained to handle the relocation and redeployment of the device.

Will I be charged a fee for relocation, if I am still covered under warranty?

Yes, please contact the support team at support@cfog.com to know the service cost to relocate the device.

Do I need any proof of purchase to claim the warranty?

As long as was acquired directly from cFog or any of its distributors, you don’t need any proof of purchase.

Do I need to register my device to be eligible for the warranty?

No. The product warranty commence right from the moment it is deployed. The warranty-related information can be checked from your dashboard.

Will I be charged a fee for relocation, if I am still covered under warranty?

Yes, please contact the support team at support@cfog.com to know the service cost to relocate the device.

My device is out of warranty, but when I request a spares such as sensors, what is the warranty for them?

These spares come with a one year warranty. During this time you are eligible either for a replacement or a service based on the nature of the defect.

What are the replaceable components in a cFog device?

Pretty much everything - micro controller, battery, solar panel, sensors, sensor cleaning unit.

How do I raise a warranty claim?

You can raise a warranty claim from the website or by e-mailing the proof of purchase to support@cfog.com. For a speedy resolution, contact the authorized distributor for your area. For the list of distributors, please refer to the website or check your product manual.

How are the replacements/spares shipped?

A designated cFog technician will deliver and deploy the spares.

What is the mode of payment for the spares and services?

At this moment, you have to pay the amount to the cFog executive/distributor or can deposit the amount in bank. For bank details, please call the support team.

If an item cannot be serviced, do I get a replacement?

Absolutely, provided your devices/spares are covered under warranty.

Do I have to pay any annual fee?

Please check your Service Level Agreement (SLA) for the pricing details of the Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC).

Can I resell the device?

No. Neither the device nor the warranty is transferable.
